W is for Westerns

If you haven't already guessed, I love westerns.  I have since I was a little girl and convinced myself I was going to grow up to marry Roy Rogers. Half of you probably don't even know Roy Rogers.
I don't know what I thought was going to happen to Dale Evans, but I didn't care. In the real world, Roy Rogers was born Leonard Slye in Ohio, not the dashing singing cowboy of movies and the TV show.  Hell, I ready somewhere that the Roy Rogers Museum has moved from Apple Valley CA to Branson MO where his beloved Trigger is probably stuffed with roast beef sandwiches.  Are there still Roy Rogers Roast Beef stands around?

Anything having to do with the west or westerns has been a lifelong passion.  So the fact that I write western romance isn't a big leap for me. Except now instead of Roy Rogers, I picture a whole different kind of cowboy. There's something about a cowboy that excites me, the romantic fantasy of a dashing 'aw shucks' guy with manners, who knows how to treat a lady but can go wrestle a steer to the ground.  Someone who can string barb wire, deliver a calf, and still have sweet smelling sweat.  So I write my fantasy.

If you're looking to cozy up to a cowboy may I suggest checking out Ken, Jude, JaceHank.  Let's not forget about Caleb, Randy, Luke, Josh, Clint and several others you can find on the pages of my stories and novellas.  They're over on the right, you just have to click.

U is for

U is for Uncle.  Have you ever had a family friend you called uncle? I can’t recall any but Starr Winslow has one.  Starr is the heroine in The Starr-Crossed Cowboy and her Uncle Rudd has played a very important role in her life.

Having been abandoned by her mother as a child, Starr Winslow becomes the sole owner of the Whispering Pines Ranch following the death of her father. In the absence of her parents, she has been raised by Katie and Buck who were friends of her father. Now that Buck is getting older, he wants to get away from the cold Montana winters and move to Arizona where his son lives. Unable to leave the running of the ranch to Starr on her own, they agree to advertise for a ranch foreman. Finding a suitable rancher proves difficult though, as many of the applicants are uncomfortable working for a woman. Luckily, tall handsome cowboy, Jude Barlow, turns up and after a short period of evaluation, he is given the job. Jude has a seven-year-old daughter, Darcy, currently living with his sister following the death of his wife in an automobile accident and he hopes that Darcy will be able to join him once things are settled. He doesn't have a problem working for Starr, but outside of work their relationship is very different and Starr soon discovers that Jude is not one to tolerate any nonsense - when she pushes him too far she soon finds herself over Jude's knee for a good spanking. Although there are some difficult moments, they quickly develop a strong mutual attraction that deepens into love. Will that love endure and just what will the future hold for Starr and her handsome cowboy?

Uncle Rudd and Starr's daddy had been lifelong friends.  He owned the Double R Ranch, adjacent to Starr's ranch.   Rudd and Starr's dad always hoped that his son Josh and Starr would get 'together'. It didn't and wasn't ever going to happen but Uncle Rudd still looked after Starr after her dad's passing.  In this scene, he's calling her to tell her he's checked out her ranch foreman candidate.

Starr looked at her cell phone and was surprised at the number.  It came up Double R Ranch, but it didn’t come up Josh Randall so it meant something else.  She pushed the button.

“Good Morning Starr, this is Rudd Randall.  How are you doing?”

“I’m fine Uncle Rudd, how about yourself.”

“I’m fine but how many times do I have to tell you to call me Rudd.  You’re a grown woman; you can drop the uncle now.  The cattle drive work out okay?”

“Fine.  I guess Josh filled you in, huh.”

“He mentioned you hired yourself a foreman.  Jude Barlow.  Wanted you to know I checked him out, he’s an excellent man, good for you.”

“Why thank you but why did you bother going through that?”

“Your daddy and I were friends, and now that he’s gone; I feel a responsibility toward you.  We always hoped that you and …”

“I know what you and daddy hoped, but it’s not going to happen ever.  Who knows, maybe you’ll have better luck with the next generation, if there is one.”  Rudd laughed that hearty laugh.  It made her miss her daddy.

“Anyway, I think of you as my daughter, and I’ll always keep an eye out for you.”

“Buck’s doing a good job.”

“I’ve no doubt of that, but I know he’s moving on eventually. Jude Barlow is a good choice.  Well, girl, if you need anything, you can count on me.”

“Thank you Uncle Rudd.  I know; I know, but calling you Uncle Rudd makes me feel better.”

“Suit yourself, girl.”

Starr smiled to herself. She felt good knowing that Rudd still had her back. Why couldn’t Josh be more like her Uncle Rudd? He might have stood a chance?

T is for Today, Tomorrow

Today's letter is T - so either Today or Tomorrow would be T words to write about as in live for Today because Tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Today is the first full day of our mini-vacation.  This is what we're doing.  We may not look exactly like this, but close enough or once upon a time.  Pick whatever phrase tickles your fancy.

Tomorrow we will probably be doing the same thing if we're not too toasted

And that's it for my T post.

Tonight I will be in South Carolina listening to the waves crash on the beach. I'm meeting some blogging friends for a three-day ladies only vacation.  The plan for the next three days is nothing but lolling on the beach or by the pool, eating, drinking and chillin' while we soak up that Southern charm and hospitality. R is for Randy

R is for Randy, probably not the randy that rolling around in your head.  It's for Randy Colburne.  He is the principal character in my third book Love is Where You Find It.  As a writer, I have a tendency to have a soft spot for most of my characters and Randy fits into that category.

When Randy Colburne finds a young woman sitting on a bench crying, he does the decent thing by giving her a ride in his truck and feeding her up at a roadside eatery. Gradually, Randy finds out a little more about Misty. She has no money and nowhere to go, so realising she would be too uncomfortable staying with him, he takes her to his folks' place. Randy's warm-hearted family quickly make her feel welcome and safe. Randy's sister Becky offers Misty a job at her busy veterinary practice. As Misty settles down to some stability and independence, her feelings for Randy grow, and the handsome cowboy is ready to settle down again with a woman in his life. But he doesn't know that Misty's ex-partner, Jimmy, is more than keen to hunt Misty down and make amends by offering marriage and a new start. Who will Misty choose...

On the way into Reno, Randy stopped at the local eatery in Piney Creek for breakfast. It fit in with what she had seen so far of the town. ...He was welcomed with a big kiss and hugs from the waitress, and one by one all the other patrons eventually made their way over to welcome him home. It must feel wonderful to be part of something so special, she thought. He introduced her to everyone with no explanation as to who she was and how she came to be with him and you could see the speculation going on in certain minds, especially in the minds of the female clientele. Obviously Randy was quite a catch. She could understand that. Now that she had time to relax around him, she had spent time watching him this morning. He had to be about six foot three, dark brown hair that curled right at the nape of his neck. His eyes were hazel and when he looked at you it was as if he could see right through to your soul. He was built well, the muscles rippled under the blue chambray shirt he wore and those jeans covered long legs and hugged a butt that was as tight as a fist. He had a beautiful smile and a walk that oozed confidence and masculinity But more than his physical attributes he appeared to be a genuinely nice man, even if he was a cowboy. Yes, he would definitely be considered a catch. She would have to watch herself around him or she could find herself becoming a member of his fan club

This week Love on a Ranch released.  It is a boxed set of my latest western romances. It's a great value and one you shouldn't miss.

Kendall (Ken)Burke and Melody Townsend are the main characters in this book.  She is a career woman intent on remaining unattached and Ken Burke is a rancher intent on getting her to change her mind.

Hank Caldwell and Mickey Chandler fall in love but that's only the beginning.  They are like oil and water and have to work through many issues to resolve their differences. Whether or not they can is the question?

Starr Winslow hires Jude Barlow to be her Ranch Foreman.  The role reversal provides some tense moments in this tale of a man trying to raise a daughter and get his life back on track after the loss of his wife.

Annie Wilson Dixon is a firecracker of a girl.  She met Jace McCall at 18 and although interested in her, she is much too young for him.  When they meet years later, they're still attracted to each other and the sparks really fly.

The book, as well as the others listed to the right are  available at LSF or Amazon.

P is for Promotion

Promotion - it's a chore you take on when you become a writer.  The Publisher does their job; your job is the promotion.  It's not a hat I wear easily but today I'm doing my job and promoting LOVE ON A RANCH.

Released over the weekend, it is a boxed set of four of my western romance novellas (At the End of the Rainbow, The Star Crossed Cowboy, The Cowboy Has Her Back and Annie & Jace)  Each book is still available individually but now you can own all four for a great price.

O as in OMG, I have to come up with something. Now  Orgasm would be the obvious choice but I'm quite sure other bloggers have some terrific posts about that very thing.

Okay, how about books - thinking Outlander.  Everybody seems to have read this series except me. Maybe one of these days, or maybe I'll buy the series and then I can watch them at my leisure because I keep missing episodes on tv.

Opportunity, I'll take this opportunity to thank all of you faithful readers that have stuck with us throughout this challenge and put up with posts like this.

Only a few more days to go and it will all be over until next year.

N is for

N - the fourteenth day of the A to Z Spanking Challenge.  We are on the dark side of this challenge, and that is a good thing because I have Nothing.  My brain is spent, I'm like the Seinfeld TV show, this is a blog about NOTHING.

Okay, think Sunny, people are stopping by and they're expecting something, you have to come up with something, but what.  Oh, I know, I'll give them what's popping into my head - words that begin with N. Naughty, there's a good word to start.

Can you relate to any of these?

M is for Maria

M is the 13th letter of the alphabet, and it means we are halfway through this year's A to Z Spanking Challenge. It's also for Maria as in Taming Maria.

In Taming Maria, the long awaited marriage between Maria Elena Bartolá and Juan Antonio Cabrillo eventually takes place. The business interests of the Bartolá's include cattle, horses, and farming, with the Cabrillo family focusing on the raising and breeding of cattle. The story set in California during the 1940's, amidst a backdrop of ranches and vineyards and two childhood sweethearts destined to become lovers. But the handsome Juan is fully aware that his bride-to-be is headstrong and tempestuous. It seems the only sure way to tame her is to give her a well-deserved spanking! The couple faces hardship, adventure, personal tragedy and extended periods of separation - but there are some things in life that are worth the wait.

L - The Look of Love

The Look of Love is the story of Erica and Scott Carson.   It is a story of their love from the first blush of young love, through the trials and tribulations of a long marriage. After thirty years of marriage, they still cannot keep their hands off each other and when their adult children want to learn the secret of their happy marriage, they find their parents have practiced a domestic discipline lifestyle.

The first time she saw him, he was getting out of a long sleek limousine.
Wearing a white Oxford cloth shirt, open from the neckline with the sleeves rolled up and tucked neatly into jeans that looked molded to his body.  She didn't think his legs would ever stop coming out of the car door.  When her eyes finally reached his face, it reminded her of chiseled stone.  His ebony hair curled slightly at the back of his neck, with gray/blue eyes fringed with dark black lashes.  She adjusted her eyes accordingly when he emerged; he hand to be at least 6'8" and 4 feet of him had to be legs. Beautiful was the only word she could think of to describe him and even that didn't define the reality of him.  She nearly fainted right there in the street.  She didn't believe she would ever swon over someone, and here she was doing it over a stranger.

Now thirty years later his black hair was slightly peppered with gray.  He was beautiful as ever, and she still swooned, but this time those blue/gray eyes were searching the crowd looking for her and when he found her, she could see the love as he strode forward to embrace her.  He took her hand, and they walked into the theatre together.

Saturday Spankings

Annie was just 18 when Jace first encountered her in Pickin’ Pete’s Bar and Grill.  Using a false ID and feeling the effects of too much tequila, she was attracting the wrong kind of attention when Jace offers to drive her home.  Little did she know then just how much he would feature in her life.

Annie and Jace go on to live their separate lives. Time passes and Jace comes to the Tulsa area looking to purchase a ranch of his own.  He spies someone coming out of the café that looks like the girl he met many years before.  No longer a girl, but a woman he realizes he wants to know better.

This scene takes place after Annie's first husband Gabe Dixon died.  She is the owner of a cafe now and is working a shift when Jace McCall steps into the cafe.  He's still as handsome as she remembers and she recalled the public spanking he gave her way back when. She wondered if he would remember her and trying to act casual as she is getting a soft drink.  She is so engrossed in watching him that she overfills the glass and the liquid splashes on the floor.

“Shit.” The word exploded from her mouth.

“I see you still have a potty mouth,” he said to her.

‘So he does remember me.’“I’m sorry, do I know you?” “Can I pull this off?”

“And that bratty attitude as well. Are you seriously going to play this game?  You know darn well who I am; I saw the look of recognition the minute you spotted me.  What name are you using these days?”

“My name is Annie Dixon.”
“Oh, Annie Dixon is it, the girl I knew was Annie Wilson or Clovis Gentry.”

“Oh, I remember now,” she told him.

“I thought maybe you would; my next clue was to remind you I was the cowboy who spanked that pert little fanny of yours in Pickin’ Pete’s in Dallas.”

“Such a gentleman to remember that fact,” she said with that snarky little voice he remembered so well.

J is for

Up to the tough letters now.  J - I tried thinking of something clever for this letter and nothing came to mind besides joy.  Not that I think joy is not special, but it's overdone (like the word according to Grammarly).  So my brain kept on clicking away, and I thought about names.  As a writer, you are always naming characters.  Long before I became published, I wrote a story on my other blog every Monday, still do.  That adds up to at least one character a week for the last 20 months or so.  I went back through the archives and realized I tend to use some names over and over.  Does it mean I have an affinity to these names-maybe? The reality is when I'm thinking of naming a character,  I write what first comes to mind. For whatever reason, I tend to stay away from common names like Joey, or Jimmy or Johnny, and instead use names like Jude and Jace and Jesse.  Does it mean these names/characters strike a chord with me?  I don't think so because I found myself quite surprised to find them appearing over and over again for different characters. Now, that I'm aware of that, I will
have to pay more attention to the names I give characters.

If you want to help me out I have a tendency toward J and C, so if you can think of any names I can use, please let me know?

G is for Ginger

What do you think of when you hear the word ginger -  a redhead, ginger ale, a spice used frequently in asian cooking, medicinal purposes as in a slice to cleanse your palette after sushi, or do you think of it as something used to enhance a sexual experience or a punishment ordeal.

Prepared Finger of Ginger Root
Today, I'm focusing on the later use of ginger for sexual pleasure and displeasure. The use of ginger inserted into the anus or vagina of a person is known as figging.   When inserted, it causes an intense burning sensation, often causing much discomfort to the subject.  It builds to its maximum discomfort within the first five minutes and generally lasts for thirty minutes or so.  Any clenching of the of the invaded muscles releases the intensity of the sensation.

I'm a big fan of ginger.  I like ginger ale, red heads and use it in some dishes I make.  I love having a slice after eating sushi and often use it as a digestive aid if I've indulged in something that keeps returning.  So naturally, I had to try it for other reasons as well.  All I can tell you is that it lives up to its reputation. Just thinking about it has a tendency to warm up other areas of my body (I'm squirming about as I write this). Have to reveal this, only once and never say never but I can't imagine doing it again anytime soon.  But if you try it, you be the judge.  If you've tried it, what's you opinion?  My trial was for my own curiousity and the sex was hot, not sure it was worth the burn (lol). I can't imagine it being inserted and then spanked while it's in place but then never say never.

If you've time, here's part of a story posted on my AIMLESS RAMBLING blog.  Betty is a middle age woman and is learning first hand about ginger.

Jim’s son and daughter-in-law arrived as Betty was finishing getting dressed.  She and Jim had a little nap that refreshed them and her nerves were not nearly as bad as before Jim used his “relaxation techniques.”  He went down to open the door while Betty lagged behind.  When Betty came downstairs, Jim walked to her side and told the kids he wanted to introduce a special friend.

Bryce and Colleen tried not acting surprised but Betty saw the shock on their faces but it didn’t stop them from making her feel welcome.  She knew she was plain, her figure wasn’t the best, and they probably wondered what Jim saw in her and thought he could do better.  He squeezed her hand and it wasn’t long before they all felt comfortable with one another.

Betty helped Jim serve brunch and when they were eating the grapefruit and orange compote, Colleen said how delicious it was and what was in it to make it so tasty.  Jim said the taste was fresh ginger and when he looked at Betty she turned red.  Until this morning, Betty was unfamiliar with ginger so Jim printed out an article on the different uses of ginger including sexual play.

“Ginger, huh.” Colleen said.  “It gives it a special tang.  I’ve had it with sushi but haven’t used it in myself.”

“Betty wasn’t familiar with it either and I printed an article for her to read. It’s a staple in  Asian cuisine.  Ginger has other uses too.   I’ll give you a copy of the article, it's interesting.” Jim told Colleen, all the while Betty is turning more and more red.  She finally excused herself from the table.  Afraid Bryce and Colleen could smell her sexual arousal, she retreated to the bedrom to change her panties.

After she read the article, Jim told her he’d give her a lesson when the kids left, so each time he mentioned ginger, she felt her body flush.  She hoped it wasn’t noticeable to Bryce and Colleen.  She knew that Jim picked up on it and gave her a wink each time.  “I don’t know how, but I am going to get even with him.”

The visit lasted longer than either couple planned.  Betty had the ability to make people feel comfortable and Bryce and Colleen liked her so much they invited her and Jim to their home the following weekend for dinner.  They said their goodbyes and when the door closed behind them, Jim grabbed Betty in his arms and swung her around the room.

“I told you not to worry, didn’t I?  I knew they would like you, how could they not?   There isn’t anything about you not to like.  You should listen to me.”  She smiled at him and gave him a hard punch to his shoulder.

“What was that for?” He asked in his Dom voice.

“For teasing me all through the brunch.”

“I’ll show you teasing.  Now get up those stairs and remove your clothes.  I want you naked and pliant when I get there.”  He slapped her ass and shooed her upstairs.
Betty nearly ran up the stairs.   When he turned on his Dom, she turned to jelly.  Who would have thought a woman her age could react this way, not her.  She quickly undressed and waited for him to appear.  Her thoughts as she waited turned to how different life was now than when she arrived in Springtown. Meeting Lil and Jim gave her a life she never thought possible.  Just sitting here naked, while waiting for a man who was going to turn her inside out, was something she never thought possible.  Sex was she something you endured, not enjoyed.  She heard his tread on the stairs and sat up straighter.

While she was upstairs thinking and waiting, Jim was downstairs preparing a finger of ginger.  He carefully peeled and carved the finger, tapering it but leaving a wide base to hold it in place.  He used the potato peeler to smooth out the rough edges and placed the finished finger in a bowl of water filled with ice cubes.  Next he cut several small mouth size pieces of ginger and placed them in the bowl too.  He was ready.  Finding Betty gave his life new zest.  She was a willing participant and he loved being able to pass on what he had learned over the years.  His manhood was growing, just thinking about what was about to happen.  As he approached the door, he changed his manner to Dom mode and when he opened the door, his face and body, reflected his dominance.

Betty looked at him and lowered her eyes as he entered the room.

“Good girl,” he told her.

“Get up on you knees,” he commanded.  She instantly obeyed.  She heard him come around to the side of the bed and felt the first smack on her ass.  She winced and her body automatically responded by moving forward.

“Stay still,” he reminded her with another stinging smack.  Five more spanks followed and then stopped.  Her ass was already tingling.  The smacks stopped and she sensed rather than saw him reaching for the plug of ginger.  He spread her cheeks and she felt the slip of ginger gently penetrating her anus.  At first, the cold water droplets and the coolness of the ginger felt wonderful against her stinging bottom. Once he seated the ginger, he released her ass cheeks and she felt the ginger plug into her almost virgin anus.  Soon the feel of the foreign object was replaced by the burn of the fleshy ginger and she felt the heat deep inside her body.  The spanking resumed and soon her ass cheeks were stinging as well.  She enjoyed the sensation as each slap made her clench her sphincter muscles causing the ginger to release a fresh burn. It hurt so good.

When he stopped, she felt him dipping his fingers into her juices.  She moaned and mewled with pleasure.  The next sensation she felt was his tongue licking her butt crack. She couldn’t believe how good this felt even though it was so beyond anything she ever imagined when married to her husband, Bill. She clenched her butt cheeks releasing another wave of fresh ginger burn.

“Unclench” she hears as he gives her ass a hard, stinging smack.

“Yes, sir,” she somehow managed to get out.  He continues to spank her bottom and the heat both inside and outside her body is almost too much to bear.  He senses she is almost at the end of her endurance and stops.  He rolls her over onto her back and she winces as her sore bottom touches the bed.  He takes her nipple and rolls it between his thumb and forefinger and lengthens the nipple until it becomes a hard nub.  He does the same with her other nipple, then reaches over and laves them.  Her body rises and comes back down and she winces.

“Are you ready to have the ginger removed?”

“Please Sir.”

“Since you asked so nicely, I’ll grant your request.”

He slowly removes the ginger and it surprises her when she doesn’t feel instant relief. Her anus is still aflame as she tries to concentrate on something other than the pain.

“Spread your legs.”  She does so immediately and watches him take a small piece of ginger into his mouth.  He bites down so the juices release onto his tongue.  He moves his head between her legs and his tongue finds her clit.  The burn of the ginger inflames an already engorged clit and her hips lunge forward, seeking more. She is rubbing herself against his face. He takes another piece of ginger and slides it along her folds. He slips his fingers, now filled with ginger juice, into her slit and he senses she is hovering on the cusp, ready to cum.  Her hard nub is begging for his fingers to release her from the pleasurable torture.  He replaces his fingers with his tongue, she clenches and her juices are flooding his mouth.  He rubs another piece of gingerroot along her vaginal area before he rams his hard cock into her.
They lie spent on the bed.  Her ass still burning from the ginger and the spanks, but the other sensations more than compensated for the discomfort.
His dom mode gone, sweet Jim returns.  “Are you okay?” He asks as he tenderly caresses her face and neck, followed by whisper soft kisses.

She has no words but the expression on her face tells him everything he needs to know.  For the moment, anyway.

F - the 6th Letter of the Alphabet

Today, Kelly Dawson is joining us to share her new book titled Rachael's Journey. It sounds great and I can't wait to read it.

Blurb:  Rachel was such a loser. Growing up with Tourette's Syndrome has taught her that. Who could possibly want someone who contorted their faces in bizarre twitches or snorted at random? Not even Mike, the man who had promised he loved her, had been able to put up with it. She broke up with him when she caught him cheating on her during their great overseas experience, promptly flying back home to hide and lick her wounds.
James was the manager for the 850 acre farm she and her brother Simon had inherited.  She liked James. He'd always treated her nicely, like an honorary little sister, and she'd had a crush on him forever. Not that she could ever tell him. She wasn't going to set herself up for rejection ever again.
But when it seems that someone is out to harm her, can she count on James to come to her rescue?

Set in rural New Zealand, this epic romance will thrill you and keep you captivated, enchant you with charming detail and inspire you, as learning to overcome adversity ultimately is Rachel's Journey.

I know, I know today is F and so far, it has been elusive.  Worry no more, Kelly is sharing the Followng excerpt, Feeling like a Failure

Now, all she could think about was how much of a failure she was. All the places she’d planned to go, but didn’t get to, were swimming round and round in her brain. All the plans she’d made, the dreams she’d held … all the plans that got broken and the dreams that failed to materialise. All because there was obviously something wrong with her. She couldn’t hold onto her man, and she didn’t want to go travelling alone. She was too scared to go travelling alone – sometimes even going out in public alone with her Tourette’s Syndrome was too much for her – how on earth would she have managed all by herself in a strange country, far from everything familiar?
To make matters worse, the All Blacks were losing. Swiping a lone tear from her cheek, she buried her face in the cushion resting on Simon’s thigh and tried to hide the fact that she was miserable. And for a while she succeeded – both Simon and James were so caught up in the game that they were oblivious to her. But she didn’t mind. She was glad of the company – it sure beat being alone in her room, crying on her bed.
“What’s up mate?” James asked her gently, putting a hand on her shoulder in a tender gesture.
                “Nothing. Just sad.”
“Cheer up. You’re back home with us now, where you belong. I know it’s not where you want to be, but our company’s not that bad is it?”
Rachel shook her head. “It’s not that. I’m glad to be home, really. I had a good time. I just feel like such a loser.”
“You’re not a loser mate,” James told her sternly, while sputtering on his beer.
“What else would you call me? I can’t even hang onto a man by shouting him a trip overseas! If that’s not the definition of a loser I don’t know what is!”
“You are not a loser. Don’t talk like that!” Simon growled, frowning at her.

“Yeah, easy for you to say. You don’t have Tourette’s Syndrome. You don’t get cheated on. You don’t pay for someone you loved to go travelling with you, just to have them ditch you for a blonde bimbo. You’re not a loser, I am.”

Author’s Note about Rachel’s JourneyRachel’s Journey is very close to my heart. Like Rachel, I too, have Tourette’s Syndrome. I have tried to portray what it is like to live with this neurological disorder, and while Tourette’s affects everyone differently so each person’s experience is unique, it is my personal experience, how Tourette’s affects me, that is told in Rachel’s Journey. In some ways, Rachel’s Journey is my biography, only fictionalised. Rachel’s circumstances are nothing like my own, but in all the ways that matter, Rachel is me.

Author Bio:  Kelly Dawson loves anything to do with horses, rodeos and cowboys, and loves to get lost in a good book - preferably a rural romance where a strong woman falls in love with a ruggedly-handsome, tough but gentle cowboy, and these are the types of characters who feature in the stories she writes. Only in Kelly’s books, the cowboys are even better because they spank!

She lives literally at the bottom of the world in the South Island of New Zealand, with her husband, four kids, a dog and a cat.
