Saturday Spankings

Hope everyone had the Valentine's Day of their choice yesterday. We did.  The sun  finally popped out the first time  since arriving here.  It has been droll and dreary until now.  I'm not complaining though - just stating the facts.  For those of you being pelted by snow and ice, hope things thaw for you soon.  Spring is just around the corner, isn't it?

Okay, back to the business of promoting Taming Maria.  Maria is the headstrong fesity daughter of Diego Bartolo, a wealthy rancher and vintner on the Monterey Coast of California in the mid 1940's.  In this scene, Maria has been summoned to her father's office.

"Cole Redding came ot see me today, Maria...It seems he thinks you are flirting with him or playing him against Juan.  Juan is his boss, Maria and he doesn't want to lose his job.  Are you flirting with him Maria?"

"Why that no good conceited son or a bitch."

"Maria, watch your language..."

"Sorry, Papa, but who does he think he is - God's gift to women?

"You didn't answer my question, Maria.  Have you been flirting with him?"

If you want to read more, Taming Maria is available for purchase at Amazon or LSF Publications in whatever format works best for you and all for the bargain basement price of $2.99.

  5. What's flirting, can't a girl just talk to a fellow without him thinking she's flirting - even when she is?

    1. Some people are too full of themselves. Flirting is what makes the world go 'round.

  9. Surely she won't be punished for flirting. I am she's probably not even aware she's doing it. Poor girl. Okay, so maybe she is aware, but still. Flirting is pretty harmless, right?

  10. I couldn't agree more, flirting is not only harmless, it's fun.

    1. Why does it always seem that a girl gets in the most trouble when all she is trying to do is have a little fun? ~giggles~

  16. Sound like Maria is a bit feisty and needs a strong man to handle her! I'm glad your weather is good and no, I don't think spring is around the corner. We're getting 6 inches of snow tomorrow, ugh!

    1. Maria is a character, no doubt about it.

Sorry about the snow, I am sure you are sick and tired of this winter.

  17. Hi Sunny, I'm sorry I am so late to this. Trying to catch up with snippets from the weekend. Ooh, feisty and flirty ... I like her! LoL

  18. oo she is fun :) I love how she avoids his question

  19. I noticed she's avoiding the question, too. In addition, her outrage seems overblown for the question . Hard to tell from the brief snippet. I'm also not sure what her relationship is with Juan or Cole, or which one she's most interested in. Flirting by itself isn't bad, but playing one man against the other can lead to trouble. Also, sorry about the confusion between your and Renee's blog, but I'm glad you reached out to me.
