Hope everyone had the Valentine's Day of their choice yesterday. We did. The sun finally popped out the first time since arriving here. It has been droll and dreary until now. I'm not complaining though - just stating the facts. For those of you being pelted by snow and ice, hope things thaw for you soon. Spring is just around the corner, isn't it?
Okay, back to the business of promoting Taming Maria. Maria is the headstrong fesity daughter of Diego Bartolo, a wealthy rancher and vintner on the Monterey Coast of California in the mid 1940's. In this scene, Maria has been summoned to her father's office.
"Cole Redding came ot see me today, Maria...It seems he thinks you are flirting with him or playing him against Juan. Juan is his boss, Maria and he doesn't want to lose his job. Are you flirting with him Maria?"
"Why that no good conceited son or a bitch."
"Maria, watch your language..."
"Sorry, Papa, but who does he think he is - God's gift to women?
"You didn't answer my question, Maria. Have you been flirting with him?"
If you want to read more, Taming Maria is available for purchase at Amazon or LSF Publications in whatever format works best for you and all for the bargain basement price of $2.99.
